General Hospital spoilers hint at a shocking climax, which may revolve around the Cassadine family. In particular, Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) could play a key role as she makes a big splash returning to the screen. While Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) has been getting more ruthless than ever, it’s got to be difficult to come up with a satisfying exit for him. There’s only so far one can take villains before they must die. Victor has certainly reached that point, and with so many wanting him dead, including his own son — Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) — it’s only a matter of time before he meets his maker.

Helena kicked the bucket years ago, which doesn’t leave many options unless the show wants to perform a back-from-the-dead smackdown. With the rest of Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) memorial video in mind, GH fans are dying to hear its details and whether they’re linked to additional Luke-related shenanigans. However, there’s still the strong likelihood Helena could reappear in a visionary or ghostly capacity, which could be especially eerie as Victor appears to be on his way out. Come on, who doesn’t want Victor six feet under? Helena could take this golden opportunity to knock Victor down a peg and show him the true path to the afterlife. This could be the triumphant finale Helena’s been waiting for, and if the show is brutal enough to kill Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), Victor could easily be next in line for a deader-than-dead departure.

Luke’s return promises to provide answers to long-standing questions. What has he been up to, and what are his future plans? His reappearance will delight family and loved ones, such as his beloved Tracy Quartermaine, who may have been guarding his secret for the sake of his Cassadine revenge. With Luke back, he’s poised to clean house and bring Victor to justice, and he’ll have the support of people like Laura Collins (Genie Francis), Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) to boot! But the real question on everyone’s mind is much simpler and more sentimental — will Luke be sticking around? We’ll have to wait and see.

Maybe the show will take a more final approach with Victor’s exit rather than leaving things open for his return. If that’s the case, we could imagine Helena reappearing and taunting him while he takes his final breaths. She’s already dead, after all, so maybe she’ll escort him somewhere fiery as he enters the afterlife! If this is it for both of these villains, it’ll cement the reality that Port Charles has lost three of its boldest bad guys in the span of roughly two months. Ouch! However will they replace them?
