Is there something we are missing here? While there’s no doubt that we don’t get to see Meghan Markle very often, she did make a surprise appearance this past weekend. And of course, a lot of people couldn’t help but point out that she looks a little bit different. Here’s what you need to know.

New photos of the Duchess of Sussex have emerged of her introducing photographer Misan Harriman for a Ted Talk event. As many friends know, MIsan has captured some of the most intimate Sussex family moments including a pregnancy announcement from their home in California as well as Princess Lilibet’s birthday party at Frogmore cottage. So it’s no wonder that Meghan wanted to be there for her friend, too.

Of course, it didn’t take very long for many royal fans and critics alike to weigh in on the matter. Some took to social media to comment with, ‘So still straightening her hair. Not feeling the need to embrace the afro yet? Unconscious hair bias. She has culturally misappropriated her hair style. Again,” along with, “Ahh, so the new face is why we haven’t seen or heard from her in a while. Well, here’s hoping she ends up like Michael Jackson and we can have several years of peace.”

Royal Family News: What’s Next For Meghan Markle?

Another critic wrote, “How hypocritical can she actually be. She calls the RF racist and unconsciously biased and then she goes and try to make herself white and even alter her facial features.”

And then there was this comment as well: “A surprise? No. She always pops up to remind us she will never stop competing with the rest of the Royal family… just lest we forget… if only we could. She is obsessed by the people she has trashed and must know by now that her dishonesty and her lies have seriously backfired. No one cares.”

So far Meghan herself has not made any comments about the criticism, although it’s doubtful that anything will be said now.
