According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Summer follows instructions from an anonymous caller to tell her to go to Chancellor Park. There, she is gobsmacked when she sees that her mother is indeed alive and well. Actress Allison Lanier, who plays Summer on the hit CBS soap, says that her character definitely feels both shocked and stunned to see her mother.

Allison puts it this way, “Summer has been bottling up her emotions in order to give her mom the tribute she deserves, and she was ready to focus her energy on justice for Diane.”

Of course, The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Summer is happy to see her mother is alive as the two continue to have a joyous reunion. Summer wants to immediately tell her half brother Daniel that their mother is alive, but Phyllis insists that no one else should know the truth just yet.
