Royal Family News says that the jitters are real. Tom Parker Bowles recently admitted that his mother Camilla Parker Bowles is getting very nervous about the coronation. And who can blame her, right? After all, millions of people will be tuning in for this very historic moment as King Charles will officially be crowned the King of England with his wife Camilla by his side. While on The News Agent podcast, Tom opened up about his mother, Queen Camilla, and exactly how she is feeling now that the coronation is coming up pretty quickly in a few short weeks. He said, “I think anyone would be anxious on an occasion of this sort of importance in terms of the historical. And yes, I think I’d be terrified if I had to sort of walk out wearing ancient robes… She’s 75, but you know, it’s tough to do it. But she’s never complained. You just do it. Get on with it.”
Tom was also asked exactly how he felt about his mother now being called the Queen of England. And while it’s a title that would be hard for anyone to get used to, Tom says that at home, Camilla will always “still be my mother.”
He said, “I think change happens, but I don’t care what anyone says. This wasn’t any sort of end game, she married the person she loved, and this is what happened. I think that’s it.” So, yeah, you’re not going to find us with great estates and being called the Duke of Whatever. No, that would be appalling.”
Clearly, the coronation won’t just be a huge day for King Charles, but for Queen Camilla as well as it will be the first time that she will be standing in such a huge spotlight in front of the entire world. Watch this space as we have a feeling there is so much more to come.
