At this point, there’s really no justifying his situation no matter how you look at it. Prince Andrew’s ex-wife Sarah Ferguson is getting slammed for praising the Duke of York and calling him a “kind, good man.” This, despite the fact that he’s been accused of sexual assault, had to pay out one of his accuser by the millions and was known to have a friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. Here’s what you need to know.
As many fans know, Sarah still lives with Andrew at The Royal Lodge, despite the fact that they divorced back in 1996. The Duchess of York was on Good Morning Britain where she talked about her living situation with Prince Andrew. She said that Prince Andrew “is a very good grandfather” and “a kind food man,” and added that, ”The spotlight needs to come off him to let him get on with his life.”
Of course, many royal critics sure did have a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some commented with, “A good, kind man? Putting aside his questionable friendships/possible involvement in the abuse of trafficked girls, he is rude, arrogant and an oaf. Plus, the spotlight really isn’t on him in the way it should be. They keep deflecting by pointing away and shouting ‘But Meghan!’” along with, “‘The spotlight needs to come off him because holding him accountable for his actions will directly affect his and thus *my* wealth, security, and continued ease of living.’ Message deciphered.”
Another critic wrote, “Where was/is Auntie while her favored nephew and family are constantly being barraged with hate? Speak up for the innocent Fergie. And while you’re talking, explain why he’s paying a woman $12M? A woman he claims he never met; what’s that backstory? Innocent men don’t get mummy to fund £12 million pay offs.”
