Royal Family News says that Prince Harry once begged his father King Charles for money. Apparently, the Duke of Sussex made some pretty desperate calls to his father when he and Meghan Markle were supposedly running out of cash on their end. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Even though Harry and Meghan have managed to clinch multi-million dollar deals with the likes of Netflix and Spotify, there was a time in which they were seriously begging for cash. At least, that’s how one member of the royal rota puts it. Robert Jobson, who wrote the book, Our King, says that King Charles had enough of Prince Harry calling him and pleading with him to give him money. He wrote in his book, “Charles stopped taking the calls, however, after his son had sworn at him and repeatedly asked for funds in their tense calls.”
Apparently, even Queen Elizabeth got involved with the calls, too. Jobson said, “When the Queen asked him why, Charles told her that he was not a bank.”
Not only that, but it seemed like Prince Harry was “regularly trying to contact his grandmother” soon after he and Meghan Markle moved to California. Jobson continued, “The Queen hoped that her grandson, having decided to live in Canada and then California, would find peace and happiness living the life he had chosen, but in the end she asked him to speak directly to his father.”
So far Prince Harry himself has not made any comments about the matter although at this point it’s doubtful that he will. Plus, the Duke of Sussex is confirmed to fly to London to attend King Charles’ Coronation. There’s no doubt that both father and son will try to iron out their issues while Harry is there as the two will likely want to put this ongoing feud they have behind them. Do you agree?
