Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are getting slammed for their cringeworthy daytime talk show. The two All My Children alums are now co-hosts for Kelly’s Live! show but unfortunately, the reviews aren’t great. Here’s what you need to know.

According to Page Six, it was Kelly Ripa who was getting slammed the most as she kept on talking over her husband. Not only that, but it seemed like viewers didn’t appreciate all of the supposed “fake banter” between them and all of the public displays of affection that Kelly was showing her husband in front of the cameras. A lot of fans also said that the chemistry between Kelly and Mark wasn’t what they expected it to be. Some even said that the show worked and flowed a little better when Ryan Seacrest was still on.

Of course, many critics sure did have a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some commented with, “Regis Philbin wanted Valerie Bertinelli for the job..ABC went with narcissist Kelly Ripa…Big mistake..Beloved Regis Philbin, Michael Strahan and now Ryan Seacrest can’t be wrong about the demanding control freak Ripa…Good luck, Mark,” along with, “These two are the worst of self absorbed simpletons. Whoever watches their garbage deserves it. It’s amazing to me that Kelly is employed by anyone. And what’s with the ABC executives who have no ability to think beyond, ‘hey why don’t we get her husband to co-host?’”

What’s Next For Kelly And Mark?

Another critic wrote, “It was not their best, for sure, but maybe they were nervous because it was Mark’s official first day. That said, Kelly does need to stop interrupting Mark and taking over the show. And a little less kissing would make it more professional. But I’m going to give them some time & see what happens. I did miss Ryan today though.”

So far Kelly and Mark themselves have not made any comments about the criticism. But there’s no doubt that they will change the way they do things on air in order to save their ratings of even their jobs, too. Watch this space.
