The Young and the Restless star Michelle Stafford is clapping back at online haters. That’s because a lot of critics out there have said that it would have been pretty easy to recognize Phyllis Summers at her own funeral. Yet, no one seemed to have seen her in disguise. Michelle Stafford took to her Twitter account to let everyone know that while she was in character as Phyllis Summers and in disguise before she began filming her funeral scene, none of her The Young and the Restless co-stars recognized her. Some of them even walked past her and didn’t seem to know who she was. 

Michelle said, “Okay, for all of you lovers going off on Phyllis’ disguise. I want you to know I stood in the set for an hour and my co-workers didn’t even recognize me! “Truly! Nobody recognized me. It was funny!”

She also said that Josh Morrow, who plays Nick Newman on the hit CBS soap, didn’t seem to recognize her either. She added, “Josh walked right past me after I said, ‘Hi.’ It was so funny!”

The Young and the Restless News: What’s Next For Phyllis Summers?

Now, whether or not anyone will recognize Phyllis in the near future remains to be seen. As many The Young and the Restless fans probably already know, Phyllis Summers has decided to fake her death so she can pin the murder on Diane Jenkins. This is all because she believes that Diane has managed to flip her life upside down the moment she came back to Genoa City. But the real truth is that Phyllis was just jealous of the hot romance that Diane was having with Jack Abbott so her solution was to pretend like she died and then frame the murder on Diane. Little does Phyllis know that all of this is going to backfire on her sooner rather than later. Watch this space.
