Royal Family News says that it’s official: Prince Harry will be attending King Charles’ Coronation. However, his wife Meghan Markle will be sitting this one out. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced on Wednesday that Harry will be making the trip alone to London, while Meghan will stay back in California with the couple’s two children, Archie and Lilibet. This has prompted a lot of people to wonder how Kate Middleton might feel about not having to see her sister-in-law at Westminster Abbey. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

This Is How Kate Middleton Feels About Meghan Markle Not Attending The Coronation

As many royal fans probably know by now, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle certainly don’t have a very good relationship between them. Harry even wrote in his book, Spare, that the Princess of Wales supposedly ‘mean girled’ Meghan a few days before her royal wedding back in 2018. If that weren’t enough, Kate also apparently told her circle of friends that doing the Windsor walkabout shortly after Queen Elizabeth’s death was one of the hardest things she’s ever had to do in her life. That’s because of the disdain that she has for Meghan Markle. 

If it were up to Kate Middleton, she would do everything she can not to see the former American actress. In fact, during the Platinum Jubilee last summer, both Kate and Prince William skipped Lilibet’s birthday party at Frogmore Cottage. The Cambridges did everything they could do to avoid Harry and Meghan and for the most part, it worked.

Royal Family News: What’s Next For Kate Middleton?

While no one certainly knows exactly what happened between Meghan and Kate behind the scenes, it’s safe to say that whatever damage was done is permanent. And whatever Meghan might or might not have said to Kate was certainly personal, too. The Princess of Wales probably feels very relieved that she also won’t have to be compared to Meghan at the coronation, especially when it comes to the things she says, wears, and of course, her body language. 

So far Kate Middleton herself has not made any comments about the matter.
