They might as well just throw their own viewing party while they are at it. Royal Family News suggests Princess Eugenie and her sister Princess Beatrice won’t have a place on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during King Charles’ Coronation along with the rest of the royal family. Instead, it seems like they’ve been demoted alongside Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as they have no official roles for the Coronation. This has prompted a lot of fans to wonder what is really going on behind closed palace doors. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Even though both Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice have been fixtures for the royal family at their engagements and public appearances, King Charles doesn’t think that they are important enough to be on the balcony on what will most likely be the most important day of his reign. Instead, he just wants his wife Camilla Parker Bowles to be there along with his eldest son Prince William, his wife Kate Middleton, and of course, their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. It will be a similar scene to what fans saw when Queen Elizabeth was celebrating her Platinum Jubilee back during the summer of 2022.
Then again, there are some critics out there who believe King Charles did this as a slight towards Eugenie and Beatrice. After all, he’s no fan of their parents. It’s just to be determined what kind of role Prince Andrew will have, should he be a part of the Coronation. Not only that, but Eugenie and Beatrice’s mother Sarah Ferguson has also confirmed that she was never invited to the Coronation to begin with. Instead, she is going to watch all of the festivities go down in the comfort of her own home. Eugenie and Beatrice might have to do the same thing.
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. Watch this space.
