According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, both Summer and Daniel also can’t believe that they were both estranged from their mother at the time of her death. Still, that’s not going to stop them from getting to the bottom of what exactly happened before she died.

Speaking to the publication in a new interview, actor Michael Graziadei, who plays Daniel on the hit CBS soap, puts it this way, “They haven’t been very nice to their mom recently, so stack that on top of losing her and it becomes, ‘How terrible are we?’ I think that’s the traditional tale of you always think you have more time with someone, when you should really act like every day is your last and to treat people the way you want to be treated. Of course, they learned this lesson too late.”

That said, both siblings realize that Jeremy had something to do with this. Michael said, “The first time Daniel laid eyes on Jeremy, his mom told him that Jeremy is dangerous and a criminal and not to go near him, and now this guy is coming out of left field and saying, ‘And look, we got married.’ It makes absolutely no sense to Daniel and it’s not an easy pull for him to swallow. He wants to get to the bottom of this but he has to wait for the GCPD to confirm the validity of the marriage license Jeremy gave them.”
