The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, April 10, tease that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) is veering from rage to eerie calm over the death of her equally out of control and now “dead” mother Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Just hours after ripping Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) into pieces in the Abbot family living room, Summer flounced down the stairs and announced herself fixed. Yep, she’s over all that and ready to plan a funeral her mom would looooove.
Summer fooled none of her loved ones who told her to let it go and grieve. But she can multitask and wants to get started on undead Red’s memorial service. What could they do but look concerned?
Summer is also on a mission to find the person responsible for her mom’s death and enlists top cop Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) in her crusade.
Summer is told that the toxicology report isn’t yet back so she should simmer down for a bit. But just as Summer suspects, when the test comes back it will show some funny business.
This leaves Chance determined to nab the perp, all the while with Summer trailing on his tail. Does anyone else sniff a possible romance brewing between these two?
Summer is sure that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) done did the deed and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) is focused on Jeremy Stark’s (James Hyde) culpability.
Both of Phyllis’ kids feel horrible and to blame in some measure since they were on the outs with her before she died. Maybe if they had been nicer she would still be alive? All the while Red’s kids beat themselves up over her non-death, fans are seething that Red would do this to her kids. What kind of mother is she?
Explosive show spoilers reveal that Daniel could set a dumpster fire as he makes sure Jeremy has his comeuppance. For his part Jeremy will be busy trying to control the situation he’s put in action especially when Phyllis goes MIA!
