Royal Family News: Sarah Ferguson Confirms That She Will Not Be At King Charles’ Coronation

Sarah Ferguson has admitted that she won’t be attending King Charles’ Coronation even though it’s going to be the biggest royal party of the year. While Sarah still lives with her ex-husband Prince Andrew, it’s thought that she was never officially invited to the ceremony. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

In a new interview, the Duchess of York revealed that she will be spending King Charles’ Coronation day in the one place that she wants to be – and that’s at home. According to the Daily Express, Sarah said, “I personally will be having a little tea room and coronation chicken sandwich and putting out the bunting, that’s what I’m going to be doing. Because that would make me very happy. I also love to watch it on the telly because you hear a lot on the telly.”

It also seems like Fergie is taking the non-invite with stride. That said, it does seem like Prince Andrew and the ex-couple’s two daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, will all be there. She also added, “Remember I am divorced from him [Prince Andrew] so I don’t expect… you can’t have it both ways, you can’t be divorced and then say, ‘I want this…’ [You’re in] or you’re out.”

Royal Family News: What’s Next For Fergie?

Of course, many royal fans and critics alike commented on the matter with, “That’s rather sad because she could sit with the audience rather than the family although I see her as a royal despite the technicalities,” along with, “Meaning she’s not invited, she’s gotta keep Andy company.”

Another critic wrote, “Can she host a watching party? I remember the lavish watch party held for rich women from Dallas for Charles and Diana’s wedding at a fancy hotel. Sarah would be an excellent television hostess because she knows everyone unlike all those other folks who need copious notes.”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter.
