That’s right: Malcolm Winters is back! The Young and the Restless comings and goings say that fan favorite Shemar Moore is making his way back to Genoa City for a very special 50th anniversary episode. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
According to Deadline, Shemar will make his way back home as Malcolm on Monday, May 8th. In the episode, Malcolm will try to connect with his daughter Lily and his two nephews, Devon and Nate. This isn’t the first time that Malcolm has returned home. Even though he left the show back in 2007, he’s returned several times, with the last one being in 2019. Shemar is also an actor who has repeatedly said that working on The Young and the Restless was perhaps one of the best decisions he’s ever made because the soap has helped make him the television star that he is today.
Of course, many The Young and the Restless fans sure did have a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some commented with, “I was disappointed Shemar was not at the recent gala for GC! So all fans are happy to hear he will be coming back. He will not be happy to hear about Phyllis,” along with, “We have been FANS of Shemar Moore for 17 years now that we have been following and enduring him by dividing his posts and leaving a like we are happy for him and we send them our sincere compliments and congratulations Best wishes to our Celebrity actor. Always Shemar Moore.”
Another fan wrote, “I remember the day he started the show at CBS and literally everyone stopped and stared at this beautiful young man as he made his way to the studio. We all knew a future star when we saw one.”
