Royal Family News says that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have the royals ‘paralyzed with fear’ for this particular reason. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
According to royal commentator and author Tom Bower, he thinks that King Charles along with the rest of the members of the royal family are truly worried that Harry and Meghan will steal the royal spotlight from them should they decide to attend the coronation. Even if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are held in a back room somewhere in Buckingham Palace, there’s a very good chance that the couple will still find a way to be seen by the public in one way or another. That, or the press will find them behind a curtain or two.
Bower put it this way, “Exploiting their popularity at the Coronation will boost Charles’s status. But that advantage will evaporate if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex grab the public’s attention over that weekend.”
Bower also said that Harry and Meghan have done nothing but humiliate King Charles ever since they decided to pull the plug on their working relationship with the royal family, too.
He said, “Ever since Megxit, Meghan and Harry have humiliated the King and the Royal Family. Paralyzed by fear and indecision, Charles has failed to suppress the Sussexes’ vile vitriol. In calculating whether to allow the Sussexes to attend his Coronation, Charles has reverted to his familiar stance — dithering, worrying about his image.”
So far both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not made any comments about the matter, but it’s doubtful that they will say anything. Even if the royals are scared of what they might do or so next, it’s doubtful that they would admit to it, right? Plus, no one even knows if the Sussexes will attend King Charles’ Coronation to begin with as Harry and Meghan haven’t said yes but they haven’t said no either. Watch this space.
