General Hospital Star Genie Francis Is Now Mentoring Young Soap Stars In The Making

General Hospital star Genie Francis (Laura Spencer) recently admitted that she is now mentoring young soap stars in the making. While speaking to TV Insider in a new interview, Genie was asked what kind of advice she usually gives to young actors in the daytime television industry. She said, “I try to be a guiding, loving voice for all the young kids on the show. I truly love them. I see myself when I look at them. People were loving and kind to me when I was a young person on the show, so it’s just easy to love them. They’re so sweet, and they’re so excited to be starting their careers. They’re just full of all this wonderful, fresh energy.”

Genie also opened up about a scene that she did with her young co-star WIlliam Lipton, who plays Cameron on the show. She recalled, “I did a goodbye scene with William Lipton who plays Cameron, and it was just so touching. And then afterward, he was giving me a big hug and telling me, ‘I meant everything I said, and you were important to me.’ It was just like, I just love these young people. I can’t say it enough. They make me feel good, and I hope I do that for them.”
