Royal Family News says that Meghan Markle is keenly aware that she can’t stay out of the spotlight for too long. After all, her popularity depends on her being seen and heard from time to time. That might be one of the reasons why she is strongly considering traveling to London with Prince Harry for King Charles’ Coronation in May. This, despite the chance that both will be completely shunned by the other members of the royal family in what will most likely be a very awkward situation for everyone involved. Here’s what you need to know.
According to body language expert Louise Maher, she believes that the Duchess of Sussex will absolutely attend the coronation, even though there’s little chance that she will have an opportunity to be front and center during the festivities.
Maher put it this way in a new interview with The Telegraph, “Harry was always going. I think Meghan will be at that coronation as if her life depends on it. She’s going to be in those photos for posterity. It’s a significant event. That’s definite. However, will their presence detract from the coronation? No, it will have no relevance whatsoever.”
She continued, “My money is on both of them attending. They’re grabbing at the prince and princess titles [for children Archie and Lilibet] and turning up to the coronation to be in the family photos for posterity. They are royal. However, at the same time, they’re saying, ‘royal’s not for me’ and ‘I don’t want the attention.’ Their constant incongruence continues.”
So far both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not made any comments about the matter, nor have they said anything about their future travel plans. However, it seems like everyone is betting their money on Harry and Meghan attending the coronation as they won’t want to miss the biggest event the royal family will see this year. Do you agree?
