There’s no doubt that a lot of people would agree that your first best friends tend to be the cousins that you grew up with during your childhood. But for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s kids, it seems like their kids will never get a chance to even meet their cousins, seeing how things are currently going between them and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle right now. This has prompted a lot of people to wonder if the royal kids are going to lose out on the chance to bond with their cousins from across the pond, and especially for Princess Charlotte and Lilibet Diana. Here’s what you need to know.
Apparently, the Cambridge kids have already lost out on a few opportunities to meet their Sussex cousins, Archie and Lilibet. Along with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Archie and Lilibet were in London last summer for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex even hosted a birthday party for little Lilibet Diana, but for some reason or another, William and Kate declined to attend the soiree with their three children.
For many royal critics, this is heartbreaking, seeing how the older members of the royal family are close with their cousins. In fact, Princess Eugenie seems to be Prince Harry’s biggest ally these days. A lot of royal critics have also pointed out that Princess Charlotte is definitely losing out the most on this feud, as she might never get the opportunity to see her cousin Lilibet. With her brothers Prince George and Prince Louis, there’s no doubt that Charlotte will want another female family member around that she could bond and share memories with. But at the time being it seems like that will never happen as Prince William wants his kids to stay away from the Sussexes. He believes that Harry has inflicted too much pain on his family and in no way is willing to forgive him for the things that he’s said and done.
