Yikes. Now this is a comparison that you don’t hear being made very often, and especially not when it comes to the royal family. Royal Family News suggests Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are going to be hard pressed to find anyone in the UK that would be willing to defend them these days. In fact, one royal critic went as far as to compare the royal couple to trailer trash. That sounds a bit harsh, doesn’t it? Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
TV star Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen said that King Charles is doing his best to handle the situation with grace, as he doesn’t want to make the entire situation look like “trailer trash.” Those are certainly her words, and not ours.
Llewelyn-Bowen put it this way, “Oh for goodness sake, as a grandfather and head of my own dynasty, there’s always going to be some falling out. My only take on all of this is I think the King and the palace are doing an incredibly cool job and accepting the fact there is dissent in the ranks and getting on with it.”
She continued, “It’s about a much bigger picture, it’s going to be Harry and Meghan’s choice [if they attend the coronation] and ultimately the critical thing is they’re invited. What is important is they’re not having a big family falling out, there is nothing trailer trash about the way it’s going and I think it’s been done with incredible delicacy.”
So far Harry and Meghan have not made any comments about the criticism they have gotten, nor has King Charles said anything about the steps he plans on taking next when it comes to his son and his wife. That said, there’s speculation that the King of England is willing to do whatever it takes to end this royal feud between Harry and the rest of the royal family as he doesn’t want anyone to make his reign harder than it already has been.
