General Hospital Spoilers: Port Charles Comes Together To Honor Epiphany

She might be gone, but she will never be forgotten. General Hospital spoilers say that Port Charles will come together to honor Epiphany. As many fans can recall, her portrayer Sony Eddy, who first began playing the character back in 2006, died late last year. The producers of the show will not pay home to both Eddy and Epiphany in a very special episode that will air March 29th. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Executive Producer Frank Valentinit previews, “Co-Head Writers Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor and I had a big discussion about what we thought was the best way to approach this. We sort of weighed the pros and cons of whether Epiphany was alive and living someplace else or if her character had, in fact, left this planet. And we decided that Epiphany was someone who loved Port Charles and if we weren’t able to see her, recasting Epiphany was completely and utterly out of the question. We decided that it was important to honor not only Sonya but Epiphany and we wanted to dedicate a full, entire episode all about that.”

General Hospital spoilers say that the episode will revolve around a heartbreaking memorial for Epiphany that will be attended by all of her loved ones. The moment was also deliberately timed to lead into this year’s Nurses’ Ball.

Valentini continued, “I think that because it’s a very somber, very moving episode, we wanted it to come before the Nurses’ Ball so that you can experience all the sadness and the grief and then we can move on to celebrating the ball, which we haven’t been able to do for a couple of years because of the pandemic.”
