General Hospital Spoilers: Short Goodbyes, Long Goodbyes-Laura Needs To Talk To Liz About Nikolas

General Hospital spoilers and updates for this week’s Sneak Peek tease short goodbyes, and long goodbyes. Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) get ready to say a short goodbye to Cameron Webber (William Lipton) but what about Laura’s oldest son-is it a long goodbye?

General Hospital Spoilers: Cameron Webber Going Away To College

Cameron was accepted at Stanford University, across the country from Port Charles, New York in Stanford, California. It may be a long distance, but a relatively short goodbye as opposed to Laura’s goodbye to Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) who she hasn’t heard from for weeks. Actually, she never got a goodbye and no one seems to know where he is-not even Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy).

Cameron’s told all his high school group, two of which are childhood friends, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) his plans. Now, his mother and brothers have set up a surprise going away party for him at Charlie’s Pub, and that’s where Laura has come to talk to Elizabeth.

GH Spoilers: Missing Their Boy

Laura talks to Elizabeth, as she’s finishing up some last minute things at Cameron’s surprise party. She tells Laura that Jake Webber (Hudson West) set up the decorations, and Aiden Spencer,(Enzo DeAngelis) the baker of the family, baked the cake.

Laura’s sure that Aiden outdid himself with the cake, and asks how he and Jake are dealing with Cameron moving cross country to attend college. Elizabeth says that they’re trying not to make a big deal about it but she can tell that they’re sad to see him go. Laura says they’re not the only ones, and she’s very proud of Cameron but she can’t imagine not seeing him in Kelly’s or knowing he’s at least in town somewhere.

General Hospital Spoilers: Almost  Makes Her Cry

It’s all Elizabeth can do to not fall apart every time she thinks about putting Cameron on a plane to California, and Laura says she knows. Elizabeth knows it’s an incredible opportunity for him, and he has a full scholarship and gets to play division one soccer, and wants him to live a happy, full life. She asks if it’s selfish, and Laura tells her no, it’s understandable because he’s her baby; Liz wants him where she can keep an eye on him.

Laura tells Elizabeth she knows that feeling, and suddenly her mood shifts and she looks upset; and they need to have a serious discussion. Laura tells Elizabeth as kindly as she can muster, that they need to have a talk about Nikolas.
