The Young and the Restless spoilers say that while Joshua Morrow knows that a lot of women come and go for his character Nick Newman, there will always be one true love in his life, and that’s Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). The actor recently opened up about just how proud he is of the fact that Nick and Sharon are still considered as one of the most successful super couples on Y&R. Here’s what he has to say.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, the handsome actor said he is proud of the fact that Nick Newman and Sharon Newman have been hailed as the most successful supercouple in the history of the show. Yet, before Sharon Case came along, it was both Monica Potter and Heidi Mark who were cast as Nick’s love interests.

Joshua told the publication, “They both did great jobs. In fact, Monica and I were getting pretty chummy and we would grab lunch with some of our friends. We were becoming the teeny bopper crowd, but then, Monica was gone and at that time, I didn’t know soaps made changes like that so I was really surprised. Heidi came on and she was a unique Sharon and a funny, funny girl. She had already lived so much more life than me at that point and we just seemed to be in different parts of the universe.”

The Young and the Restless News: What’s Next For Nick And Sharon?

But Joshua says that when Sharon Case came along, everything changed. He said, “It was like the show had come to their senses and made Sharon what Sharon Case could do. She was fantastic in the screen test but I certainly couldn’t predict the amazing years we would have together. It was a fun time growing up on soundstages 41 and 42 and I look back at it as a ride of a lifetime.”
