The Young and the Restless news says that everyone can’t help but wonder the same thing these days when it comes to Mark Grossman (Adam Newman) and Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra). While the couple sure did look like they were enjoying each other’s company for quite some time there, a lot of people noticed that Mark did not take Courtney to The Young and the Restless’ 50th Anniversary Party in Los Angeles this past week. Some people think he might have had a good reason behind it, too. Here’s what you need to know.
According to their respective social media accounts, Mark took his parents as his date for the party while Courtney took her best friend of twenty years. In his post, Mark shared a lot of behind the scenes photos and captioned them with, “#YR50 50th anniversary party with some of the fam.”
Of course, this led to a lot of speculation as to what might be going on with Mark and Courtney. While it looks like they simply decided to enjoy the night with their family and friends, some think that they might have purposely not gone as a couple for several different reasons. They probably don’t want the media asking them questions about their relationship and their private life together and they also most likely didn’t want to make things awkward for Mark’s ex-girlfriend and their The Young and the Restless co-star, Sharon Case (Sharon Newman). Or at least, that’s what it seemed like.
With that said, a lot of people gushed over Mark taking his parents to the party. Some commented with, “Love the picture of you and your mom. And picture with your Dad. Best Adam ever. Mark you are an incredible actor talented,” along with, “That’s great that you took your parents. Have thoroughly enjoyed your compelling portrayal of Adam Wilson Newman! You brought eternal life back to this complex character.”
