General Hospital Spoilers: Laura And Liz’s Heart-To-Heart Talk, She Thanks Her For Being Willing To Care For Esmé?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will have a heart-to-heart talk with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst). She’ll thank her for being willing to care for Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) while Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) held her captive and explain why she’s grateful.

General Hospital Spoilers: Nikolas Cassadine’s Birth-Mother’s Version

Laura has lived to regret leaving Nikolas to be raised by the Cassadines, but her story is so similar to Esmé’s when it comes to Nikolas’ birth. The same way Esmé was held hostage by Nikolas on Spoon Island, Laura was held hostage by his father on Cassadine Island. She didn’t have someone like Elizabeth looking out for her when she was pregnant with Nikolas, although his uncle Stefan Cassadine (Stephen Nichols) tried to protect them.

Laura doesn’t agree with what happened, but Esmé’s pregnancy could have gone so much worse without Elizabeth. She’s not upset that she told her what happened to her either, they were fair questions from someone with amnesia.

GH Spoilers: Might It Have Turned Out Differently-She Doesn’t Think So

Does Laura think it might have turned out differently with Esmé’s hesitation to let Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) care for his little brother had Elizabeth not told her? Laura really doesn’t think so, considering she’d had a taste of Nikolas himself trying to get her to sign away custody. Elizabeth showed a real dedication to being a nurse by giving Esmé the prenatal nursing care she did, even though she regrets helping Nikolas keep her captive.

Elizabeth had a big enough heart to help a girl who ruined her son’s and his friends’ lives-Elizabeth didn’t want the innocent baby to be a victim. Laura knows and agrees what Nikolas did was wrong-but Elizabeth wasn’t as wrong as she thinks she was to help him-it was all about the baby.

General Hospital Spoilers: Elizabeth Baldwin Glad Laura Collins Understands

Elizabeth is glad Laura understands why she did what she did even if it made her an accessory to a crime. She still hasn’t heard anything from Nikolas and everybody just assumes he left town not wanting to be arrested, but Laura’s not real sure about that. Nikolas wanted to raise his baby and then send Esmé away to Cassadine Island where she’d be cared for the rest of her life-without her baby.

But that sounded too much like what Laura went through when she was pregnant with Nikolas..Elizabeth had known him since she was a teen, but she never knew his birth story. Laura hopes soon he will show up but if Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) doesn’t know where Nikolas is-if he’s telling the truth-nobody does.
