The Young and the Restless star Sharon Case recently explained why her character Sharon Newman and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will never work. That’s because her heart will always belong to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and there’s a good reason for it. Here’s what she has to say.

Speaking to The Locher Room in a new interview, Sharon made it pretty clear that she thinks that her character will end up with Nick Newman no matter what. Sure, they have had their ups and downs over the years, but nothing will ever come in between the ultimate Genoa City couple that is better known as Shick. 

Sharon put it this way, “We are each other’s easiest scene partner. We don’t have to think about [the scene] or worry about it, it’s all just gonna come naturally. We don’t ever rehearse it or run lines. If the crew’s ready, we’re ready to shoot it. It is like riding a bike [when we work together]. We’re lucky to have that in each other.”

She then went on to say, “We know each other so well. If there’s anything off about me, [Joshua] can read what I’m thinking instantly. He knows right where I’m going, if I’m going to be sad in this scene, if I’m sad in real life. He once described me as an old, favorite sweatshirt you put on and a lot of people took that the wrong way, but he was giving me a compliment — meaning that it’s reliable and familiar and warming and comforting.”

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: What’s Next For Sharon?

After all, the heart knows what it wants. Seeing how these two have such effortless chemistry off screen, it’s no wonder that Sharon and Nick work so well on screen. Here’s hoping that The Young and the Restless writers realize this and put two and two together before it’s too late. If there’s one person who deserves true love, it’s gotta be Sharon Newman.
