There’s nothing like a family feud that will actually bring you closer to your married partner, right? Well, that’s probably what Prince William and Kate Middleton are thinking to themselves right now as there’s a new report that suggests the nasty and bitter battle between them and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has actually brought them a little closer. Here’s what you need to know.
According to royal podcaster Tom Quinn, he believes that the Prince and Princess of Wales’ marriage is actually stronger now that they are united against all of the hate that has been thrown their way thanks to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. As many royal fans know by now, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have aired out all of the royal family’s dirty laundry in their Netflix series and in Harry’s tell-all memoir, Spare.
Quinn put it this way, “I’m certain that the attack from Harry and Meghan has indeed [brought Prince William and Kate Middleton closer]. You’re never closer than when you have a perceived enemy—’enemy’ is probably too strong a word—but they will feel that not just that they’re under attack, but that they’re more isolated, that they have to be careful that they sing from the same hymn book as it were, because there’s always this difficulty with someone that’s far enough away to make criticisms, and clearly has a taste for making criticisms, that seems very unlikely to end.”
The royal expert continued, “We know for example that Meghan is now writing her own book. I’m sure William and Kate are, I wouldn’t say dreading that, but they’re thinking: ‘Well, there’s going to be more of the same. So, I think it probably has pushed them closer together.”
Now, whether or not any of this is true, is anyone’s guess, but there’s no doubt that William and Kate sure have had a lot to gripe about behind closed doors, right?
