While his romance with Victoria might be an enticing one, it’s clear as day that Elena has invested her entire heart with Nate. The last thing she needs right now is to be hurt by him. But Nate apparently doesn’t see it this same way. He clearly wants what Victoria is willing to give him, all the while knowing that there might be consequences that will come from his actions, too. 

Of course, many The Young and the Restless fans and critics alike sure did have a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some comments have included, “I am just glad Elena is being played with some common sense. She is asking all the right questions Nate is just a snake and his you know what is lying,” along with, “Brytni is a terrific actress capable of delivering a nuanced range of emotion – joy, anger, humor, sadness, vulnerability, empathy, heartbreak. And even on YR she has done all of these things. However in this story she has been trapped as the background character to add a layer to the Victoria-Nate story. Even last summer/fall she had more POV – confronting Nate, Imani, Victoria and showing emotional range.”

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: What’s Next For Elena?

Another critic wrote, “No wonder Elena looks tired. Trying to stay afloat with pond scum like Nate and Vicky dragging you down is hard work. I just wish she would show some emotion other than exhaustion. I’ve heard she is a good actress but so far I am not over impressed.”

Clearly, the critics have spoken. Now, whether or not Elena makes the right choice and gives Nate his walking papers remains to be seen. Watch this space.
