General Hospital Spoilers: Cody Calls Dante Out for Being a Hypocrite — Is He?

General Hospital spoilers reveal Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) isn’t proud of the choice he made to lie to Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and his entire family about the results of the paternity test they took. When a definitive answer came back showing Mac as Cody’s father, he panicked and told them otherwise.

At the time, Cody needed to hang onto the narrative that Leopold Taub (Chip Lucia) was his dad so that he could cash in on the necklace Leopold left behind. Now, Cody is without the necklace and without a father, wishing he could go back in time. When he tells Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about his hard lesson learned, Dante is going to push him to tell Mac the truth. Well if that isn’t the pot calling the kettle black.

General Hospital Spoilers — “Mac is My Father”

Dante is going to notice when Cody isn’t feeling all that good about his life, and it won’t take much inquiry on his part before Cody blurts out the truth — that Mac is actually his father. Dante is going to be rather stunned, but then again, this is what he should have come to expect from Cody long ago.

It won’t take long for Dante to put the pieces together and realize that Cody’s target when he came to town was getting his hands on that necklace. Still, he might struggle to reconcile that Cody needed Leopold to be his dad so badly that he would forsake the real one he had a shot at a relationship with.

GH Spoilers Hint Dante’s Moral Superiority Shines Through

Dante won’t mince words when he tells Cody that honesty is the best policy. He thinks Cody should stop wasting time and come clean with Mac as soon as possible, which is going to seem rather ironic to Cody. Sure, Cody would love it if Mac knew the truth, as long as there weren’t any terrible consequences to suffer through.

If he could go back and do it over now knowing that he wouldn’t end up with the necklace anyway, things would be different. However, telling Mac now, he would run the risk of showing his father what he’s really about — money over family. Cody doesn’t feel like he can live up to the standard his father sets as a person, and he doesn’t think Dante has any room to talk about being honest.

General Hospital Spoilers — Cody Blasts Dante’s Hypocrisy

From where Cody sits, it looks like Dante has forgotten his past and who he really is at times. Dante’s whole life since he came to Port Charles could be a lie, in Cody’s opinion. No one knows what he did in the past, and apparently it’s bad enough that Dante is willing to live out of the rest of his days trying to keep it that way. He hasn’t been honest with his family or Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), and he doesn’t intend to be. When Cody reminds him of this, the cat just might catch Dante’s tongue and he backpedals and tries to claim it’s not the same thing.
