It looks like there won’t be room for everyone on that balcony during King Charles’ Coronation in May. That might be one of the reasons why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s two children, Archie and Lilibet, were supposedly not invited to attend the festivities. That, and there’s also speculation that because Camilla Parker Bowles’ own grandchildren will be front and center during the chubbly, they might have taken up the room that was initially meant for Archie and Lilibet. Many royal fans and critics alike were pretty shocked when they found out that while the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were invited to the coronation, their children’s names were not on the list. This is quite interesting seeing how Prince William and Kate Middleton’s three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – are all expected to attend. 

And while there’s no doubt that the Cambridge kids are going to be front and center during the coronation along with their parents, it seems like Camilla’s four grandchildren are also expected to play a key role in the ceremony. The Queen has four grandchildren – Eliza Lopes, Gus Lopes, Louis Lopes, and Lola Parker Bowles. While no one knows exactly what they will be doing that day, there’s no doubt that they now have priority over the Sussex kids seeing how their grandmother is officially the new Queen of England. Now, that’s not to say that Archie and Lilibet are less important, but because their parents are no longer working members of the royal family, that might be one of the reasons why they were asked not to come to the coronation. That, and it might just be too crowded on the balcony of Buckingham Palace that day.

So far Harry and Meghan have not made any comments about the matter, nor have they said anything about their future travel plans. That said, it’s been reported that the palace is staff is making arrangements for Harry and Meghan to be there, which means that they will certainly have to face the royal music once they get to London.
