Well, that didn’t take very long for her to come back! As many fans even know, when it comes to the daytime television world, you can never say never when it comes to returning to Port Charles. General Hospital comings and goings say that actress Emma Samms is returning to reprise her role as Holly. Here’s what you need to know.
According to Soap Opera Digest, Emma will be back on the canvas as soon as April 14th. Similarly, actress Jane Elliot will also be reprising her role as Tracy on April 17th. Don’t you just love it when some of the very best that General Hospital has to offer keep coming back for more? And by more, we of course mean the drama.
Back in December, Emma announced that she was leaving the soap. However, she also said that she was happy to see her character Holly back with Robert again. Emma said at the time, “She and Robert have great empathy for each other and great affection and great love, without a doubt. You see that connection between them is still really burning strong and if it wasn’t for these extreme circumstances, they would probably be right back to where they were, working together – not necessarily with his permission, but she would be joining them! I think they would be right back to that!”
Emma also stated that she was returning to the UK to be with her husband Simon McCoy. Speaking about her personal life, she said, “For the last 20 years, I’ve lived on my own. I’ve been a single mother. Very happily so. But a year ago, I got married. And I never thought I’d get married again.”
That said, it’s great to see that Emma is coming back! She’s already back in Los Angeles filming her upcoming scenes. Now, as far as how long she’ll stay this time around, remains to be seen.
