According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Days of Our Lives Head Writer Ron Carlivati admits that it’s been a lot of fun pitting these two brothers against one another. He puts it this way, “They are two alpha guys that have a bit of a dark side to them, they are both willing to play dirty when they have to, and now they are going to war with each other in a Stefano-like way. I love seeing EJ in this position where he thinks he’s completely in charge and in control, but has underestimated Stefan a bit. And now, it goes from cat and mouse to the gloves coming off, where it’s more open warfare.”

Days of Our Lives spoilers say that the two brothers draw their battle lines with Gabi backing her man and Nicole backing EJ. Even though Gabi is still with Li, she still plays a huge part of this story. Plus, another side of Nicole’s character will come out as well.

Carlivati continues, “We will see that fun side of Nicole that is the bad girl that’s a little bit more like EJ and willing to play dirty, and I think she’s just a really great foil for Gabi, so to see the four of them go head to head is going to be really great.”

Days of Our Lives spoilers say that after one thing leads to another, both Stefan and EJ tell each other than they plan to do anything but play nice. In other words, the gloves are off.

Carlivati says, “They don’t need to be pretending, they don’t need to be smiling to each other’s face and drugging each other behind their backs. The question is, now that it is all out in the open, what will happen? Are they going to destroy each other? Are they going to be able to make some kind of a truce? It will be interesting to see how the women influence this, as well. Sometimes, the women are the voice of reason, but when it’s Nicole and Gabi, we just don’t know if they are going to be the voice of reason or the ones making the situation even worse by escalating it.”
