General Hospital News: Ingo Rademacher Facing Industry Blacklist Just Like Antonio Sabato Jr?

General Hospital star Ingo Rademacher might be facing the same industry backlash that Antonio Sabato Jr. did back in 2016. The former soap star was basically blacklisted for his extreme political views and it seems like Ingo might be facing the same kind of fate. Ingo got let go from General Hospital because he was one of the few actors that refused to comply with the vaccine mandate. Here’s what you need to know.

General Hospital News: Ingo Rademacher Facing Industry Blacklist Just Like Antonio Sabato Jr?

Back in 2020, Antonio told Variety in an interview that after he went public for his support for Donald Trump, he soon found out who his friends in Hollywood were and who were not. The former actor told the publication that he had to sell all of his belongings and start his life over. He said at the time, “I had to pay all my debts. I was blacklisted. All my representatives left me, from agents to managers to commercial agents. I literally had to move, find a new job to survive and take care of my kids. It’s been terrible.”

He also said, “It’s mind-blowing. It’s a disgrace. It’s tough, because if you’re in that environment in Hollywood and you have something to say that they don’t like, they’re going to let you know. I was talking to a distribution company about producing a film that was set to go, and they told me to my face, ‘We will never distribute a movie with you in it because of your affiliation with the president.”

General Hospital News: What’s Next For Ingo?

And while no one really knows what the future holds for Ingo, things haven’t been looking so good for him so far. He was forced to pack up his home and move his family from California to Panama City, Florida in the hopes that he could find work in the entertainment industry somewhere on the East Coast. So far that hasn’t happened.

To make matters worse, Ingo still has to deal with his lawsuit against the ABC network. A lawyer for ABC said last month that Ingo doesn’t have a valid case because the network had the right to cancel the actor’s contract in six-month increments as long as they gave six weeks’ notice and its actors had to comply with ABC’s policies.

So far Ingo Rademacher himself has not made any additional comments about the matter.
