Days of Our Lives Star Steve Burton Says There’s A Lot Of Similarities Between Harris Michaels And His Former Alter Egos

Days of Our Lives star Steve Burton (Harris Michaels) recently opened up about his comeback to Salem. As many fans know, he’s already reprised his role as Harris on the Days of Our Lives spin-off, Beyond Salem. Here’s what he has to say! 

Days of Our Lives Star Steve Burton Says There’s A Lot Of Similarities Between Harris Michaels And His Former Alter Egos

While speaking to Wally Kurth for a Days of Our Lives interview, the handsome actor admitted that Harris Michaels is somewhere in between those characters that he once played (and has since retired) on the daytime television screens. Speaking about Harris, he said, “Dylan was troubled, Jason was troubled, and now Harris is kind of in between those two. Because he’s a Navy SEAL and he’s fighting some demons. But he’s also a good guy. He’s been a bad guy. So we’ll see what happens.”

Steve also opened up about how Harris was forced to seduce Hope Brady, which meant that he got to work with the legendary Kristian Alfonso. He said, “We really were thrown right into the fire. As you know we don’t shoot anything in order. So one of my first days was with her and we had all this highly emotional stuff and I didn’t know her. She has amazing eyes as an actress and that’s what I kind of locked in on and it was a great day.”

Days of Our Lives News: What’s Next For Harris Michaels?

Steve also says that he’s super excited to see what’s next for his character, now that he’s coming back along with Bo and Hope. There’s no doubt that many Days of Our Lives fans feel the exact same way! He said, “I think the reason Harris is coming back to Salem is for redemption. Because of all the bad things he did, he wants to make it right. So that’s why he’s coming home to Salem.”
