This might be one of the reasons why King Charles had decided to give Prince Harry and Meghan Markle the boot from Frogmore Cottage. There’s a new report that suggests one of the reasons why the King of England is doing a little reshuffling is because he wants to give Frogmore to Prince Andrew so that it would open up the Royal Lodge for Prince William and Kate Middleton. And apparently, the Prince and Princess of Wales would certainly rather have Prince Andrew as a neighbor than Harry and Meghan. Ouch. That has got to hurt. Here’s what you need to know.
According to OK! Magazine, sources behind the scene say that William and Kate absolutely back Charles’ decision to evict the Duke and Duchess of Sussex because they want the couple nowhere near them or Windsor Castle for that matter. At least, that’s what royal expert Jennie Bond alleges.
She told the publication, “They will be absolutely supportive of Charles’ decision. They probably don’t want Harry and Meghan as their near neighbors. I think they’d probably have Andrew. They’ll be completely on board with this and support Charles.”
Jennie added, “Charles has probably spoken to William about this, but I think they talk about these things a lot.”
While insiders say that Harry and Meghan have been left “stunned” over the decision, others argue that they rarely spend anytime in the UK as it is, so there’s really no point for them to hold on to Frogmore Cottage. That, and they probably wouldn’t want William and Kate as their neighbors too, anyway.
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter, although it has been reported that Harry and Meghan have until this summer to pack up their bags and move out of Frogmore Cottage. Now, whether or not Andrew moves in after them remains to be seen. Watch this space.
