It seems like Sarah Ferguson might be trying to make some new royal friends here. Or at least, that’s what it seems like. The Duchess of York has been dropping hints that she might be trying to get close to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle these days. That, or she might be trying to follow in their footsteps as well, which might be good or bad, depending on how you look at it. Here’s what you need to know.
In one of her latest interviews, Fergie said that it’s been liberating to say what she wants now that Queen Elizabeth is dead. Before, she felt as though she had to speak through a filter but now that the queen is gone, she can say whatever she wants about the royal family. By now, everyone knows that Prince Harry has been doing the exact same thing as both he and Meghan Markle have thrown King Charles, Prince William, and Kate Middleton all under the bus in their various interviews, Netflix docuseries and of course, Harry’s book, Spare.
Speaking of docuseries, the Duchess of York hinted that she would like to have her own documentary on Netflix as well. Seeing how Harry and Meghan’s series was so popular, there’s no doubt that Sarah’s ratings would be through the roof as well, mostly because she still has close ties to the royal family.
And last but not least, Sarah has hinted that she would like to move back to America. She says that Prince Harry’s own move to California was definitely a good thing for him and she says that she has nothing but fond memories of her own years in the states. With Sarah living in the United States and possibly having her own documentary and maybe even a new book, we could see how she is trying to model her new PR strategy from the Sussexes. If it worked for them then clearly it should work for Sarah too, right? Watch this space as we have a feeling she’s only getting started.
