Well, they certainly do have a point here. Days of Our Lives fans are making it pretty clear that they are none too pleased with the fact that actor Brandon Beemer hasn’t been getting much screen time lately. The actor, who is best known for his role as Shawn Brady, has only been seen once on the canvas so far. That is why some fans are insisting that the writers of the show do something to give him more of a prominent storyline, if not more scenes in Salem. Here’s what you need to know.
One disgruntled Days of Our Lives fan put it this way on Twitter, “After Bo and Hope finish their arc, let’s hope the writers have something special for Shawn Douglas Brady. He is a legacy character, son of one of daytime’s beloved supercouples, and yet today was the first time he’s aired in 2023. Brandon deserves better.”
Of course, it didn’t take very long for other Days of Our Lives fans and critics alike to weigh in on the matter. Many of them replied with, “The minute the character was born Days had a problem because he was a Horton and a Brady. Up until now the Writers didn’t have a solution other than Belle. Now they could try Sloan Gwen or Jada or Chanel (Chanel is too young). They can’t keep recycling the same SLs with him,” along with, “I would literally watch Days again on a regular basis if they made Shawn front & center. I’m someone who has not watch often since we lost legacy characters Bo Carly, Shawn Belle & Carrie. Legacy matters to me.”
Another critic wrote, “Such a wasted opportunity to not have Shawn and Belle driving major stories. They are legacy children of two of the show’s biggest super couples ever. I hope we will see more of them this year. Hoping they will eventually have him working with his mom and dad. Would be neat to have the family together again.”
