British Royal News says that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s living situation in the UK isn’t as bad as some people are making it out to be. While they might not have Frogmore Cottage to call home anymore, it’s not like the couple will be forced out onto the streets the next time they visit the UK. In fact, there’s a new report that suggests the Duke and Duchess of Sussex can easily stay at one of the many suites that are available at Windsor Castle. Here’s what you need to know.

Royal historian Marlene Koening, who usually has one thing or another to say about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, told Express, that the royal couple really shouldn’t fret about getting evicted from Frogmore by King Charles. That’s because they rarely used the home to begin with and that there are plenty of rooms that they could stay at on the grounds of Windsor Castle. She said, “Harry apparently views Frogmore Cottage as ‘the only place left that’s safe’ which for me is a strange comment. Why? There are plenty of rooms at Windsor Castle where they could stay if they choose to come to the UK.”

Koening also pointed out that the Crown Estate owns Frogmore Cottage, and not King Charles, as many people have pointed out, or even Harry and Meghan even though they poured millions of dollars to renovate the place. She said: “This means Harry’s lease was with the Crown Estates, same for Royal Lodge, Adelaide Cottage, Fort Belvedere and many other properties in Windsor, small and large.”

What’s Next For Harry And Meghan?

If that weren’t enough, the royal expert also said that Harry had only extended his lease on Frogmore Cottage for just one additional year back in 2022. That, and it was believed to be on a 12-month rolling deal. So the fact that Charles had cut the cord on the deal shouldn’t really come as a surprise to anyone, much less Harry and Meghan.
