Days of Our Lives spoilers say that a lot of fans can’t help but wonder the same thing these days, and that’s whether or not Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) should be getting back together again. After all, they had some incredibly hot chemistry together back in the day, and even when actor Jensen Ackles played the part. Here’s what you need to know.

Days of Our Lives recently walked down memory lane again and showed fans just how much Eric and Nicole have meant to one another in the past. Of course, many Days of Our Lives fans sure did have a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some commented with, “Greg Vaughan is still the handsomest man on the show, but omg, when he started as Eric he was a GOD! Great use of flashbacks. I’ve always thought the soap audience was sophisticated enough to accept seeing other actors playing the roles, so they should always employ old footage of characters to aid in storytelling,” along with, “Jensen Ackles made it big but never forgot his soap roots. I do remember not liking the idea of Eric and Nicole together at first but Ari and Jensen had natural chemistry, quite a bit more than Ari and Greg if I’m honest. Putting Nicole with Daniel later was one of the biggest mistakes this show has ever made although Ari wouldn’t agree since they’re still together in real life.”

Another critic wrote, “I have not watched since September 2022, but it’s nice knowing that they are not ignoring the concept of recasts. Seeing Jensen Ackles in flashbacks is awesome; more soaps should start doing this. The audience is not as stupid as you may think. Show us past portrayers.”

Now, whether or not Nicole and Eric ever do get back together remains to be seen but if there’s anything that we’ve learned about the daytime television world, it’s that you can never say never. Of course, The Young and the Restless fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
