The Bold and the Beautiful star Don Diamont (Bill Spencer) insists that his character is not being brainwashed by Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). Speaking to TV Insider in a new interview, Don says that there is a deeper motive behind Bill wanting to keep Sheila safe and out of the slammer. He told the site in a new interview, “I believe it was much deeper than Brooke’s and Katie’s rejection of him. Again, what I’ve played with Bill from the beginning when he was first introduced is that he’s a bastard son and a self-loathing person. He has to win because deep down he doesn’t feel worthy. He’s evolved over the years, but he tends to destroy whatever good comes his way. Nothing could feed the black hole that lives inside him. There’s more at work emotionally than simply Katie and Brooke rejecting him. There is lifelong pain that lives within him.”

As far as those rumors suggesting that Sheila has brainwashed or at least has some kind of psychological hold over the man better known as Dollar Bill, Don says that’s not the case at all. Instead, there’s a good chance that he might actually be in love with Sheila – and true love at that. He said, “That’s not what I’m playing. It’s not how I see it. But…time will tell.”
