General Hospital spoilers say that even fans knew this was going to happen sooner rather than later. That’s because Spencer and Trina finally lock lips, as it’s a moment that viewers have definitely been waiting to see happen for a very long time now. According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, the moment happens soon after Trina finds out that Curtis, and not Taggert, might be her real father. Tabyana Ali, who plays Trina on the hit ABC soap, puts it this way in a new interview with the publication, “She feels lied to and betrayed. For Trina, it’s like finding out she’s adopted and her family never told her, you know? To find out that who she thought was her father maybe isn’t her father, that’s a huge chunk of her identity that’s in question. Trina feels very lost in this comment, like, ‘Who am I? Where do I go from here? How do I recover from this?’”
Needless to say, Spencer does his best to comfort her in this situation. Considering everything that is going on in his own life, he is the right person to console her and that’s exactly what he does. Tabyana says, “She is definitely seeing a change in him. She wants him to be himself, and he knows that, and I think he is really trying his hardest to do that, not just for Trina, but for himself. And Trina can see that within him, that he’s not just doing it for her, and that trust is starting to build again – and that wanting to be closer, wanting to be together, is starting to depend on Trina’s part.”
Before the two of them even know it, they end up sharing a kiss after having a very soul-baring conversation. Tabyana says that it’s a sweet and genuine moment that she certainly can’t wait for fans to see.
