General Hospital Spoilers: Portia Tries To Explain Her Reasoning To Curtis, He Fails To Understand

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Sneak Peek, Portia Ashford (Brook Kerr) tries to explain her reasoning to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) for keeping quiet all these years. Curtis will lash out in anger at his new bride for not even questioning Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) paternity or trying to find out.

General Hospital Spoilers: Portia Ashford Rationalizes

Continuing a conversation after Trina left their honeymoon suite with Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) in tears, Portia rationalizes her decisions to Curtis. Curtis doesn’t look like he’s buying what she’s trying to sell him as she says, how could she? She says because she was thinking about Taggert and Trina and how they were each other’s world Trina’s whole life.

They each look down and take a deep breath, and she continues, saying she thought about the damage it possibly could cause their relationship. Then she says whether you believe it or not, Curtis, she thought about him too-he responds with a blank stare.

GH Spoilers: She Tries To Make It Make Sense

Portia then claims she pictured over and over again telling Curtis, and how this news would hit him – and she knew he’d be counting up all the years he missed. Curtis looks away, closing his eyes as she says every birthday, every holiday, every milestone, and how miserable they’d all be if she even raised the possibility. He finally responds, tired of hearing her excuses, and says that’s not even the same argument she used on him when his father came back into his life. She had encouraged him to leave the past behind and look to a future with Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) and because he’d listened, they now have a relationship. He now has the privilege of getting to know his father, who he had thought was dead and gone for years.

General Hospital Spoilers: Curtis Ashford Lashes Out

Portia tells him he’s right, but also says that she thinks the two situations are a little bit different. She wishes the same for him and Trina as he has with his father if she turns out to be his. Curtis responds in anger, shaking his head no, and accuses her, saying that was never her intention.

Curtis wants Portia to be real with him, had she ever wanted or intended to find out the truth? Or was it her plan to die with her lie she had told herself and everyone else for all those years-Portia continues to cry.
