British Royal Family News says that Meghan Markle sure is dealing with a lot of family drama on both sides of the pond. Not only has she become persona non grata over at Buckingham Palace, but she’s also been feuding with her own family members here in the U.S. In fact, her estranged sister Samantha Markle is suing her for defamation for a cool $75,000. And if there’s anyone who might be paying attention to this court case, it might be Prince Harry’s brother, Prince William. Here’s what you need to know.
The Prince of Wales has made it no secret that he’s never been a fan of Meghan Markle. In fact, Harry writes in his book, Spare, that the two royal brothers had a confrontation after William brought up Meghan and the supposed bad vibes that she brought behind closed palace doors at Buckingham Palace with her royal staff. Harry didn’t want to hear it and as a result, William got aggressive and pushed his little brother into a dog bowl.
Well, it seems like Samantha Markle has that same kind of beef with her estranged sister, too. Samantha says that she’s none too pleased by how she has been defamed by Meghan in her multiple interviews with the press. Samantha says that the Duchess of Sussex has been lying about her “rags to riches” story and that both she and her father Thomas Markle were an integral part of their lives while growing up. Samantha claims that Meghan has been lying through her teeth just to keep the Markles away from her.
While the royal family has not made any comments about this matter, there’s no doubt that both Prince William and Kate Middleton are paying a lot of attention to this court case. This is because it might help prove that Meghan wasn’t the royal angel that some people perceived her to be. At least, that’s the way William probably sees it.
