The Young and the Restless spoilers say that there’s a very good chance that Daniel might be able to rekindle things with Heather again – that is, only if she takes him back! Keep reading below for all of the spoilers you need to know.
According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Daniel is pretty surprised when he enters his hotel room to see Heather waiting for him. She tells him that she pretended to be his wife in order to gain entry. Needless to say, Daniel can’t seem to put into words how he feels about all of this.
Speaking to the publication in a new interview, The Young and the Restless Executive Producer and Head Writer Josh Griffith previews, “While he was initially upset at his mom’s interfering, he’s beginning to wonder if Phyllis was successful in convincing Heather not to give up on Daniel and their relationship.”
The Young and the Restless spoilers say that the estranged couple then share a hug – but not without any awkwardness. Griffith adds, “Heather is happy to see Daniel and that he’s made real progress since they last saw each other. She cares about Daniel a great deal, so their interaction is warm and friendly.”
Daniel then asks where Lucy is, but before Heather can answer, he assumes that she’s at her boarding school. Heather doesn’t bother to correct him because she wants to continue to connect with him. Griffith says, “Daniel was in a very different place when the family was last together in Savannah. Heather needed to see for herself that Daniel is no longer in a rough patch before reuniting him with Lucy. Heather is a good mother who is protective of both Lucy and Daniel’s relationship.”
