Plus, there’s a huge connection and bond between Hope and Douglas that no one can deny. The closest the boy has to a maternal figure in his life is most definitely Hope.

With that said though, Thomas Forrester has been doing everything in his power to turn his wrongs into rights. Sure, he’s made plenty of mistakes in the past (including murder and trying to sabotage the lives of other people), but his love for his son has always stayed pure. And seeing how everything else has been taken away from his life – like his job at Forrester Creations – he’s determined to get Douglas back one way or another, and even if he has to step all over Hope in the process.
