The Young and the Restless spoilers say that it’s not often that you see a kiss like this. It seems like Victoria Newman is mixing business with pleasure as she’s about to find out if Nate Hastings is the kind of man that has what she wants – especially when it comes to the romance side of things. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, actress Amelia Heinle, who plays Victoria Newman on the hit CBS soap, says that her character is very much intrigued by her new love interest. She puts it this way, “I think she’s been a little lonely and she knows that he can be trusted. After everything she’s been through with Ashland and how difficult all of that was, it’s just nice for her to know someone who is a solid person. And she thinks Nate’s office is a safe place for them to be friends and not just boss and employee.”
With that said though, a lot of fans can’t help but wonder if Victoria can trust a man like Nate, especially after everything she’s been through with the late Ashland Locke.
“He did something that she probably would have done herself, so she can’t judge him for that,” Amelia explained, adding, “In fact, she actually admires him for it.”
Amelia also added that the kiss she shared with Nate felt more than just a kiss. “It’s more Victoria being the instigator but Nate doesn’t stop the kiss,” she said. “Of course, they still have to maintain a professional relationship, but there’s a new element that has been added. And make no mistake about it, she’s definitely smitten with him.”
