The Young and the Restless spoilers say that fans of the hit CBS soap are voicing their concerns over the fact that they haven’t seen Sharon Newman on the canvas in a very long time. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Ever since Sharon’s husband Rey Rosales past away in his horrific car crash, it seems like we’ve been seeing less and less of the blonde beauty. In fact, many Y&R fans have pointed out that Sharon hasn’t had her own legitimate storyline in a very long time and that the only thing she’s really done in the last few months was give out her advice to Mariah and Tessa. Clearly, Sharon needs a new romance in her life, if not an additional job in Genoa City, right?
Many #TeamSharon fans have taken to social media to express their outrage over the matter. Some commented with, “I have looked at the spoilers in Soap Opera Digest for the next 2 weeks and not one mention of Queen Sharon. Josh Griffith is not invested in the character of Sharon Newman. This is disappointing to me,” along with, “I don’t understand why the writers of the show are ignoring Sharon and not giving her the storyline that she deserves. Is she even on the cast anymore? Why is she being ignored? I hate how the writers always put the veterans in a corner. I’m tired of this Sally Spectra storyline, it’s Sharon Newman who needs to be put front and center again.”
Another critic wrote, “If Sharon won’t be given the respect that she deserves, I am done with this. It’s been too long since she’s had a scene. It’s like they are trying to get rid of her the same way that they got rid of Paul Williams. Fans need to step up and say something before it actually happens.”
