Well that certainly didn’t take very long at all! General Hospital comings and goings say that actor Adam Huss has replaced Marcus Coloma as the new Nikolas Cassadine on the hit ABC soap. If Adam looks familiar, it’s because he is. He subbed a few times for Marcus on General Hospital back in September 2021 and again in November 2022. Here’s what you need to know.
In addition to his work on daytime television, Adam has quite a few television movies in his credits including Family Friends, Infamously In Love, Along Came Wanda, and so many more. So far the head honchos haven’t said when Adam will begin his new full-time role, but seeing how Nikolas is such an integral character on the show, there’s a very good chance that fans will see him sooner rather than later.
Back in December, it was reported that Marcus Coloma was leaving General Hospital. Marcus had decided not to film his last scenes after he learned that he was fired from the show. But a few days later he did open up about his sudden departure. The actor took to his Instagram account to say, “It’s hard to even say it. I get so sad when I think about it. Look, I don’t know what I can or can’t say, other than what an incredible ride. There’s such a family feel at General Hospital, which I felt so blessed to be part of. And I’ve said this a million times—the fans are the best fans in the entire world, and I think a lot of that is just because you guys have been watching for such a long time. So thank you for including me. Thanks for the love. Happy holidays, you guys.”
He then said, “Maurice [Benard, Sonny] said he’s gonna change his number on me. But I know where he lives. I know where Kin Shriner [Scott] lives. We’re still gonna film things. Much love.”
