The Young and the Restless star Shemar Moore has shared some very exciting news with his fans. But for those who are thinking that he is going to return to the hit CBS soap, no, it’s not that. Instead, he’s got another role that he’ll be adding to his already long list of credentials: he’s now a dad! Here’s what you need to know.
According to new reports, Shemar and his girlfriend Jesiree Dizon have welcomed their first child together, even though this is her third child. The excited new father took to his Instagram account to write, “Ya boy is officially a Dad. Dreams come true! The rest of my life is here!”
Interestingly enough, Shemar only revealed the news that he was going to be a father earlier this month. He shared the news on his Instagram account and on The Jennifer Hudson show.
“Shemar Moore is about to be a daddy,” the soap opera alum announced on the talk show as the live audience applauded. “I was worried for a while that maybe that ship had sailed kinda thing. God had my back. Things lined up. It’s going to be the best part of [my life]. My life is pretty grand but I know that … once I get this experience, I’ll be able to go to heaven whole.”
And while there’s no doubt that Shemar has a lot to celebrate right now, he did say back in 2016 that he was looking to make a lot of changes in his personal life. He told TV Line in an interview, “I need balance in my life. I love what I do for a living, I love it from ‘action’ to ‘cut,’ but I also want to walk my dogs, travel, get married, have kids. I want balance, and it’s hard to do with the schedule that we have.”
Congrats to Shemar and Jesiree! There’s no doubt that The Young and the Restless fans can’t wait to see more photos of his beautiful baby girl in the coming weeks ahead. Watch this space.
