General Hospital spoilers say that there’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that there is a lot of love between Laura Wright and Cynthia Watros in real life, even though there might not be much between their characters Carly and Nina on the small screen. In fact, Laura went the distance when she put a troll on blast after she noticed that her co-star Cynthia was getting a lot of online hate. Here’s what you need to know.
For some reason or another, one General Hospital critic wrote on social media, ““I’m afraid if I saw Cynthia Watros on the street I would punch her in the face for messing with Carly!”
It didn’t take very long for Cynthia to screenshot the tweet and she replied, “Really?” That’s when Laura stepped in and wrote, “Not if I were there! Love you, Cynthia! XOXOX”
Others commented on the bizarre tweet with, “Man oh man. I got one once from someone who hated me so much on CSI that he hoped horrible things happened to “everyone I loved.” Who knew my portrayal of a fictitious DNA tech could hold so much power over someone?! Fuck ’em all. You’re TERRIFIC. I’ve always been a fan,” along with, “This is ridiculous. Carly and Nina are characters, both of whom have experienced actual violence – did this OP not learn anything from those storylines? Soaps are morality tales, but they are also fantasy. If you can’t separate @watroswatros from Nina, you need more than popcorn.”
Another person wrote, “Such a vile comment from a witch who clearly has lost touch with what is real & what is make believe. I’m so sorry this happened. You’re a kind and talented actress. We’re lucky to have you in PC. I’m behinnd #NinaReeves and #Sona and the reunion btw Nina & Willow 1000% #GH”
