The Young and the Restless news says at this point, it’s just so hard to figure out what is the real news and what is the fake news, seeing how no one seems to be fact checking things anymore. In fact, the soap press is getting a lot of heat for supposedly amplifying a story about Paul Williams’ supposed death without really checking for any of the facts first. And to make things worse, it seems like the character’s portrayer, Doug Davidson, believed the rumors, too! Here’s what you need to know.
There was a lot of buzz on Twitter this past week that the Young and the Restless writers were looking to kill off Paul Williams, just because they didn’t know what to do with his story anymore. Plus, it’s been a very long time since he was last on the canvas. Soap Central was one of the first outlets to comment on the matter along with Soaps.com. Doug himself even said that the rumors of the writing staff wanting to kill off Paul were “hurtful,” leading many of his fans and followers to believe that his character was indeed going to die once and for all.
Of course, The Young and the Restless fans will have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next! Back in August and seeing how there’s been no indication made that Paul will be back on the canvas anytime soon, Doug wrote to his Twitter fans, “You guys are amazing. I don’t think there is a chance of a return, but your love and support is so incredibly beautiful to me.”
